Jinwon Hyun is a carefree and outgoing high school student. He is a great dancer and has a pretty girlfriend. One day, however, he notices that someone is constantly staring at him. He finds out it's none other than a classmate named Hosoo—who has a girlfriend of his own—and Jinwon is faced with a very strange and worrisome dilemma. The two boys find themselves gradually becoming attracted to each other's songs and hopes. This subtle shonen-ai story of love, pain, and youthful angst will break readers' hearts and leave them totally infatuated with Yeri Na and her characters.
Jinwon Hyun
Jinwon's a fun-loving, carefree high schooler with dreams of stardom and greatness. But, unlike other people with delusions of grandeur, Jinwon has the right stuff to make it big. He's an incredible singer, and his dance skills are top-notch, too. When he meets Hosoo and realizes the deep love of music they share, he immediately befriends him and knows deep in his heart that, together, they can make it big in show business, following their hearts and singing the songs that make them genuinely happy. Jinwon lives with his older brother and his wife and their little niece, Mina; his ties to his mother and father are currently strained.
Hosoo Gang
Hosoo is a sweet, gentle and caring guy. A great singer, a great guitarist and a dutiful little brother, to boot. At first glance, one can't see the heartache this high school student has been through. Never liking to talk about his past, he befriends Jinwon, bonding over their love of music. The two of them are inseparable to the point where rumors even begin to start floating around about them. He looks up to his brother more than anyone else in the world; a brother who's become his caretaker and guardian in these trying times for the family.
Soomin Jo
Soomin Jo is a mysterious young girl with a talent for art. She keeps to herself but somehow always ends up in trouble, whether it's from an arrogant teacher, or girls who are on the warpath. Her quiet and standoffish nature can be off-putting to some, but Hosoo sees something deep within her that tugs on his heartstrings. When being tardy to school nets her detention with Hosoo, the chinks in her armor start to show, and a tender side emerges, surprising everyone around her – especially Jinwon. She's unsure of herself, and things at home haven't been the same since her father passed.
Dana Yooo
A new transfer into Jinwon and Hosoo's high school from Soowon (a city south of Seoul), she's perky, pretty and sweet to everyone. She immediately catches Jinwon's eye and the two become fast friends. Her random bouts of violence, be they in play or defending someone close to her, reveal the firecracker within. There's much more to Dana than meets the eye, and her rough-and-tumble past manifests itself more than once. She's a loyal and faithful friend to Soomin, oftentimes bailing her out of bad situations just in the nick of time.
Iljae Lee
A classmate of Hosoo and Jinwon, he seems to have a mix between a personal vendetta and a jealous streak against Jinwon. Whenever the two run across each other, their similarities breed more contempt as they butt heads. Despite all of this, there is evidence that Jinwon and Iljae were once close friends. They also share a love for music and dancing, and their talents complement one another's.

It is clear that Hosoo misses Jinwon Hyun deeply, and with his mother nagging him about his friendship with Jinwon, he talks to him on the phone and instantly that connection is there once again.
It has been two months since he saw him and the pangs of absense are taking their toll on him. He wonders how Jinwon feels after so long, and what he is truly thinking about him while they talk about everything and nothing. For Hosoo it is just hearing the sound of his voice that makes him feel anything but alone.
Hyungjoon is asked if he thinks Baby Mode will become big in the future and he thinks they will as the two boys have that special something that captures the eyes of the fans and they already have a fan following anyway and thinks they will go far in the music industry. Jinwon is asked how serious he is about his career as a singer - does he want to sing or be with Hosoo? His thoughts are always on the guy, and he is doing anything to try and get out of practise every day. It seems that a serious decision has to be made at this point and it is one that will be most hard for the boy as he is deeply in love with his other half.
This volume seems to concentrate on the two of them and their possible futures if they do the right thing in the meantime, but love can be a strange thing to come to terms with and whether these two will do that remains to be seen. Hosoo is becoming lovesick for Jinwon, as he misses their time together, and reminisces of when they first met, and he was amazed that they both shared the interest in music – knowing they would soon be friends, very good friends as it happens.
Two months of waiting can yield fruit, though as Jinwon and Hosoo talk for the first time over the phone, hearts beating frantically. Will they be able to rekindle the love they had?
There are some very nice pieces of detailed interior artwork that show the characters in their more relaxed attitude. This gives the readers a good idea of what they would be like out of their usual personalities in the novel. The art style at times has a strange quality about it drawing the reader's eye into the characters a little more as there are halo type glows around the faces and bodies lending a more emotional tone to the work, which the reader will find enchanting.
IN SUMMARY: The artwork is superb, the level of detail amazing - Yeri Na knows how to capture the heart in this teen drama full of angst, loss and undying love.
This volume concerns family matters and fond memories.
