After a night of drinking, Soko wakes up one morning to find Kaoru, a mysterious young man, sleeping in her bed and unable to remember how he got there. It's bad enough that Soko happens to be engaged to a decent man Matsuda, but the man she just cheated on him with is only a teenager. Horrified, Soko demands Kaoru leave immediately. Unfortunately, Kaoru is the son of family friends who sent him to the city to live with her for awhile. She has no choice but to let Kaoru stay if she wants her secret kept. But, her secret isn't the only one around. Matsuda's boss schemes to marry him to an important client's daughter. Kaoru insists he deeply loves Soko. And Kaoru has his own stalkers from the past. Flower Garden is a quirky story about how love is a garden that exists everywhere, the only trick is finding the flower meant for you.

I would have liked to seen more of Soko and Kaoru, but as a whole, this was a very good, refreshing read. It's not as lighthearted in message as other in the romance genre, but it's well written and developed. It has a happy wistful hopeful feel about it. I wish print format was available.
but this was a cute story. I think I would have liked this a lot better if they had developed the main story a lot more. It was a cute premise and I think it could have gone on for a few volumes instead of just 3 chapters. This side story was cute but I wanted to read more about Soko and Kaoru.
It was hard to like this story for what it is because my mind is filled with Tramps like us/ Kimi wa Pet. I read Zippy1Eye's review and thought "I like tramps like us, maybe I'd like this one too" but I don't...
Atleast it has it's slight diffrences - truth be told I gave up reading... my bad. Sorry for comparing T_T
I like this story. Yes, the drawings are pretty dated but the story is pretty good (although the way Matsuda was pushed out of the picture was a little too convenient timing wise). But the end of this chapter was really cute (shame on Kaoru!!).
