A long-loved romance artist, Seungwon Han, presents Your Lover, a European-style romance story inspired by the historical real-life passion of Parisian painter Marie Laurencin and French poet Guillaume Apollinaire. Marie and her fiancé Woobin live an idyllic life until Woobin dies in a tragic accident. Her life shattered, Marie returns from France to face his family and an unexpected problem. Woobin's young brother Gangbin looks exactly like him. Ashamed, Marie suppresses her longings, but Fate draws them together. The cruel hope of experiencing true love again torments Marie. However, a dark and beautiful celebrity, Cheryun, also has her eye on Gangbin and she'll soon play her hand...

Marie Jung, the heroine of Han's romance manhwa Your Lover, returns to her foster family in Seoul two years after the sudden death of her fiancé, Woobin, in Paris. The young painter's feelings are confused when she has to live with her late fiancé's look-alike younger brother, Gangbin, who has harbored romantic feelings for her for eight years. The main characters are likable and their conflicted emotions, realistic. The complex familial relationship raises questions (and objections from many of the supporting cast): Would it be right for Marie to start a relationship with her dead fiancé's brother? Are her feelings for Gangbin just a substitute for Woobin? Would Gangbin care? This situation could easily be used for cheap or sleazy humor, but Han keeps the main story line serious. The artwork is beautiful; the sharp noses and glittery eyes are reminiscent of Riyoko Ikeda (The Rose of Versailles). This first volume is for older teens and up; there are conversations about sex but no nudity. Recommended for libraries that have or want to start a collection of manga/manhwa with serious content for older teens and adults.

Seriously upsetting to me. As others have said before me, Marie's luck sucks! See is a magnet for cars! I have no idea why an author would want to torture people with that kind of ending. I really liked this manga but It's way too sad for me. I wish she didn't die! I almost feel like this was real! That's how sad I am. :( -Kate

Actually, this isn't my type of ending or what I expected, but I'm totally in love with the series' drawings and the couple's love story. I like this book because it makes me wonder what love is...

just from the review alone, i already know this is one bittersweet story i want no part of. Unless it like banana fish, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The ending sucked! Most of the story was okay but what's with that dramatic, super-tragic ending?! It's like the author took the easy way out instead of writing a real ending. And, come on, a car? Again??? That was a bit much. I couldn't even cry because it was so unbelievable.
